After The Drought

Menindee Dawn

After one of Australia’s longest and most severe drought rains finally came to the inland and the dried lake beds around Broken Hill in far western NSW, Australia. The landscape shows the ravaged trunks of parched mulga trees ghostlike against the eastern dawn. A single crane arises to meet the birth of a new day symbolising new life and fresh beginnings.
